Induction of Rev. Ian Wiseman

We had a wonderful service this afternoon at which The Reverend Ian Wiseman, B.Th Dip. HSW was inducted as the minister of our church.

The service was led by the Moderator of the East Midlands Synod of the URC who also conducted the Act of Induction and the sermon was given by Rev. Dr. Iain Whyte. The service included contributions from the church choir and the Junior Church Choir and, during the service, Ian signed a Declaration of Intent which was agreed by City Centre Churches last year.

We were delighted to be joined, on this occasion, by clergy and representatives of other United Reformed Churches in Nottinghamshire and by Rev. Elizabeth Kemp, representing the Thames North Synod, Ian’s former synod. We were also joined by Revd. Stephen Morris representing the Parish of All Saints’, St. Mary’s and St. Peter’s Nottingham and Sister Breda representing the St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Cathedral, two of our City Centre partners who witnessed Ian’s signing of the Declaration of Intent.

This was a very happy occasion, followed by a lovely tea in our halls.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this day.
